Filton Golf Club hosted the competition this year and Teams of 4 were welcomed from Cornwall, Dorset, Devon, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire. Last years winners Gloucestershire fielded the same team but despite the home advantage were pipped to the post by some great steady golf from Wiltshire who took the trophy by one point from Dorset who in turn beat Gloucestershire on count back. A very close run competition indeed ! Jane Rees from Minchinhampton Golf Club scored the bess individual score of the day, carding a gross 78 and Sarah Hoff from Stover GC in Devon got nearest the pin on the 11th hole.
Many thanks go to General Manager Sue Elliott and her team for being such great hosts, to Jane Rowell for stepping in as Comp Administrator for the day and Corrinne Durber for her starting and photographic duties. Prizes were presented by Gloucestershire President Alison Kelly.
